Today nothing funny happened as of yet but for the first time this week when I dropped Bailey off at "school" she didn't cry. It is so heartbreaking when you have to leave your baby crying because she doesn't want you to leave. The teachers in her class are so great and they pick her up/pry her off my leg every morning, but today she just waved and started playing with her friends.
Meiko - my sweet puppy - is being boarded for the night while I go out of town. So he hopped in the car on our way out this morning. He sat in the back beside Bailey and helped her eat her cheerios. He is so smart (thanks to Blake). His most talented trick and most helpful to me is closing the door behind him after he comes from outside. He does a little whimper or paws at the door to go out and I leave it cracked for when he decides to come back. He comes in and turns around to close the door behind him - Genius. He does all the other basics too: sit, lay down, shake, get ball... But my absolute favorite thing he does is in the morning. While I am getting ready he lays in my spot on the bed curled up sleeping away - not to be disturbed. He moves from his spot to mine...I guess my spot is better?! I do the same thing every morning: shower, makeup, hair, get dressed, let him out to pee, get Bailey up and ready, and out the door. Somehow he figured out that while I blow dry my hair I have nothing else to do. So one morning he brought the ball to me and I kicked it...and since then as soon as I turn my blow dryer on he hops off the bed and runs to get his ball as fast as he can because he knows for a good 10 minutes of isolated playtime with my feet kicking his ball to him.
Multitasking...I find ways to do it in everything.
Ahwww.... I love this picture of Meiko!!!!
